Something not updating?

Most Pin It problems are one of five things. Start here — and if none of them match, email a human.

01

Get in touch

Email support@getpinit.app. It reaches a person, not a ticket queue, so expect a reply within two working days.

For a bug, the fastest fix comes from three things: your iOS version, which source the pin uses, and what the pin showed versus what it should have shown.

02

My widget is showing an old number

Widgets fetch their own values on a schedule, but iOS decides when that schedule runs. It budgets refreshes across every widget on your device, so a Home Screen widget typically updates every 20 to 60 minutes even though Pin It asks for 15.

Opening the app always forces a fresh read. If a widget is stuck for hours, remove it from the Home Screen and add it again, which resets its timeline.

If you want it faster
Turn on the Live Activity placement for that pin. Live Activities are pushed from our server the moment a provider tells us something changed, rather than waiting for the widget budget.
03

My Live Activity disappeared

iOS ends Live Activities automatically after about eight hours, and when you restart your phone. Open Pin It and the activity starts again.

If it never appears, check Settings → Pin It → Live Activities is on, and that the pin has the Live Activity placement enabled in the app.

04

A source says it disconnected

This almost always means the access token was revoked on the provider’s side — someone removed the app in Stripe, GitHub or Vercel settings, the OAuth grant expired, or the account changed owner. Reconnect the source in the app and the pin resumes. Your pin and its label survive a reconnect.

05

A ticker or coin will not resolve

Search by company name or symbol and pick a result from the list rather than typing a symbol directly — picking a result is what attaches the exact identifier the price provider expects.

Coverage is US-listed equities and major exchange-traded funds, plus the coins listed on CoinGecko. Some international listings, delisted symbols and very new tokens are not available, and a symbol that returns no price will show a paused pin rather than a wrong number.

06

Deleting pins and data

Swipe a pin to delete it; the row and its stored value go immediately. Disconnecting a source under Settings → Connected services deletes its token and every pin that used it, since those pins could never refresh again, and revokes the authorisation with the provider. To have your anonymous device record removed entirely, email us before deleting the app — see the privacy policy for why the order matters.

07

Connecting a service

Setup notes for each integration live in the docs — start with Vercel. Every connection is read-only, and every one can be revoked from the provider’s own settings as well as from inside Pin It.
